Purpose:
Responsible for ensuring that all products are manufactured on time, meet Seraphine’s quality standards, and are delivered within budget.
Accountabilities:
- Source and negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best cost prices, lead times and margin targets whilst ensuring quality and sustainable standards are met.
- Work closely with design, technology and merchandising team to create seasonal collections that meet brand and strategy objectives.
- React quickly to trade results by identifying repeats or opportunities and managing slow sellers through MD or market trading.
- Develop and optimise the production process across the business, ensuring teams are meeting critical path dates and therefore, the on time delivery of our product.
- Collaborating closely with our suppliers to uphold standards and build strong relationships.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Buyer or in a similar role within the fashion industry with an ecommerce environment.
- Strong understanding of garment manufacturing processes, from design to final production, including knowledge of textiles, patterns, and quality control.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Proven experience in managing relationships with local and international suppliers, with a track record of negotiating favourable terms and managing production schedules.
- High level of attention to detail, particularly concerning quality control and production timelines.
Hybrid: 3 days in central London office / 2 days from home
Salary: 45k
